Is this warm enough for winter or is it a summer set?
Cloud cotton has more weight than modal so it is comfortable across most of the year in a centrally heated UK home. For a genuinely cold bedroom or if you run cold you would want socks and possibly a layer on top. It is not a winter-weight fabric but it is warmer than it looks.
How discreet is the nursing opening really?
Very. The crossover panel sits flat when closed and there is no hardware, clip or obvious feature. To someone looking at you it reads as a standard V-neck pyjama top. Opening it requires one hand pulling the panel aside. It is not as structured as a dedicated nursing bra opening but for home use and feeding it is entirely practical.
Will the elasticated waist on the trousers dig in postpartum?
No. The waistband is wide and soft, not narrow or firm. It sits at the natural waist and stretches without resistance. A lot of postpartum women specifically prefer this kind of waistband over drawstrings or fitted waists because there is no single pressure point and the stretch distributes evenly.
I am buying this for pregnancy but want it to still be useful after. Will it last?
Yes. The nursing access, the adjustable tie and the relaxed cut all continue to work postpartum. Cloud cotton washes well and does not thin out. The only change from pregnancy to postpartum is that you might want to bring in the waist tie a little. The silhouette is designed to work across both stages.
How does this differ from The Nursing Nightdress?
The Nursing Nightdress is a single-piece sleep garment in cooling modal, designed for the night when you want one layer and nothing to manage. The Nursing Pyjama Set is a two-piece in cotton, better suited to the hours you are up and moving around, receiving visitors, or settling into the morning at home. Both have nursing access. The difference is the moment each is built for.
