The cami is a slip style. Will it stay up during a feed?
Yes. The shoulder straps are adjustable at multiple positions and do not stretch out with wear. The nursing opening in the neckline is designed to open and close without the straps shifting. The cami does not rely on elastic tension to stay up so it holds its position when you are using the nursing access.
Can I wear this during pregnancy or is it mainly for after birth?
You can wear it throughout pregnancy. The adjustable cami straps accommodate your chest as it changes, the cardigan has no waist structure at all, and the trousers have a fully elasticated waist that sits comfortably at or below the bump. The supplier specifically designs it for both stages. That said, the three-piece layering format is most useful in the early postpartum weeks when warmth and nursing access matter most.
Will the lace trim on the cami irritate my skin?
The lace trim sits at the neckline edge and hem of the cami only. It does not press against the chest or abdomen. The main skin-contact surface is the cotton body of the garment. If you have very reactive skin postpartum, we recommend confirming the trim composition with us before ordering.
How does the nursing access on the cardigan work if it does not button?
The cardigan has its own separate nursing panel built into the front. It is not just an open front. The panel sits behind the neckline and allows feeding access without removing the cardigan or fully opening it. The cami nursing opening works separately underneath. In practice most women use whichever piece is more accessible for the feed.
Can I wash all three pieces together?
Yes. All three are machine wash cold on a gentle cycle. The breast pad inserts in the cami do not need to be removed before washing. Hang or lay flat to dry. The cotton holds its shape well and does not require anything beyond a standard gentle cycle.
How does this differ from The Nursing Pyjama Set?
The Nursing Pyjama Set is a two-piece in cloud cotton, suited to morning lounging and everyday wear at home. The Cotton Lounge Set adds a third piece in the cami, giving you a layering option that is particularly useful in the early postpartum weeks when temperature regulation is unpredictable and feeding happens around the clock. The cami's built-in breast pad pocket and adjustable strap offer a more structured nursing experience than the pyjama set's simpler V-neck opening.
