For most women the first few months postpartum, what they wear at home stops feeling like a choice. The Muslin Nursing Set is for when you are ready to change that.

It is made from 100% Xinjiang cotton woven into a double-layer muslin. The same fabric used in the best baby muslins, which means it is exceptionally soft, naturally breathable, and gets better with every wash. The button-front top has a concealed nursing opening that sits completely invisible when closed, so you can feed at the table, on the sofa, in front of anyone, and nothing about what you are wearing announces it. The ruffle trim at the neckline and cuffs does the rest. It makes the set look considered in a way that has nothing to do with effort.

The Muslin Nursing Set fits with a relaxed, slightly structured ease. Not shapeless but not close-fitting either. The button-front top has a straight body with no waist shaping and falls to hip length. The sleeves are full length with a wide cuff and the ruffle trim at the neckline and cuffs gives the set a deliberate, considered look rather than a purely casual one.

Because double-layer muslin is a woven fabric and not a knit it has very little stretch. This means fit through the chest and shoulders matters more here than with the other sets in this collection. Through the body and the hem the relaxed cut gives plenty of room, but the top will not give if it is too narrow across the back.

The trousers have a soft elasticated waist and sit straight and wide through the leg. They accommodate both a bump and a postpartum body without any adjustment.

Size to your usual size. If you are between sizes or have a broader back or chest, go up. The woven construction does not forgive the way a jersey does.

The Muslin Nursing Set is made from 100% pure Xinjiang cotton, woven into a double-layer muslin.

Xinjiang cotton is grown with longer sun exposure and longer staple fibres, producing a finer, stronger thread than standard cotton. The double-layer muslin construction creates a lofty, softly crinkled texture that is exceptionally gentle against skin — the same fabric type used in the best baby muslins — while the open weave structure allows air to circulate freely. The result is a fabric that is breathable, moisture-wicking and non-pilling, and kind to skin that may feel more sensitive during pregnancy or the postpartum period.

The set has passed European standard textile testing across multiple safety categories. The fabric contains no fluorescent agents and is described as safe for contact with a newborn.

Care: machine wash cold on a gentle cycle. Do not tumble dry. Do not bleach. Hang or lay flat to dry. Double-layer muslin softens further with each wash and this is normal and expected. It improves the hand feel rather than diminishing it.

I have never heard of muslin pyjamas. Is this just a baby fabric?
The fabric family is the same as baby muslin and that is exactly why it works so well here. The double-layer construction is soft enough for newborn skin, which means it is genuinely gentle against postpartum skin that is often more reactive than usual. It is not a novelty application. Will the crinkled texture look messy when I am wearing it?
No. The crinkle is built into the fabric construction, not a result of washing or wearing. It is a consistent fine texture across the whole garment rather than random creasing. Think of how linen looks when you wear it well. The set does not need ironing and the texture reads as deliberate, which is consistent with the ruffle trim and the overall finish of the piece.
