By the time the bump starts to feel heavy, most maternity underwear just gets out of the way. The High-Waist Maternity Brief does a bit more than that. The over-bump panel holds from above, taking the downward pull off your lower back and hips so you can get through the day without thinking about it.

The 360° stretch panel moves and grows with you through mid and late pregnancy without rolling down or digging in. A dual-layer antibacterial gusset keeps things fresh through the longer days.

The waistband is a ribbed high-stretch elastic. It hugs firmly without feeling constricting, and the fabric has strong recovery, it holds its shape wash after wash and does not bag or distort.

The leg hems are precision-stitched to lie flat against the thigh with no roll-up and no digging in. The back cut is full-coverage, wider than a standard brief and built to stay put.

If you are between sizes, choose the larger size. The high-stretch fabric comfortably accommodates a body larger than those numbers suggest.

The fabric sits close and smooth against the skin, fine-textured nylon that moves without bunching and recovers quickly after washing. The elastane content keeps it flush to the body through a full day of wear. It is breathable and moisture-wicking, which helps with the warmth and sensitivity that tends to build in the later months.

Composition: 90% nylon, 10% elastane. Gusset: dual-layer antibacterial construction.

Care: Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle. Do not tumble dry. The dye is colour-stable and has been tested to hold through extended soaking without bleeding. Wash with similar colours on the first wash.

Will the waistband actually sit over my bump or below it?

Over it. The high-waist panel is cut to wrap above the bump and hold it from above, which takes some of the downward pull off your lower back and hips. This is the opposite of under-bump styles like The Bump Support Short, which lifts from below. Some women wear both depending on the day and the outfit.

When in pregnancy should I start wearing this?

It works from the first trimester, but it comes into its own from around 20 weeks onward, once there is real bump weight to support. The stretch panel accommodates your bump all the way through to the end without needing to size up.

What is the difference between this and The Seamless Maternity Brief?

Both are smooth nylon and sit high on the waist. The difference is in what they do. The Seamless Maternity Brief is built to disappear under clothing for a low-profile, no

What is the difference between this and The Bump Support Short?

Both support the bump, but from different directions. The Bump Support Short uses a V-crossover panel to lift from below and it is more structured and works well for active days. The High-Waist Maternity Brief holds from above with a soft over-bump panel. Neither is better; they solve different things. A lot of women keep one of each.

Does the waistband dig in or feel tight across the bump?
The waistband is a ribbed high-stretch elastic. It sits at the waist
rather than across the widest point of the bump, so the pressure is minimal. If you are unsure, size up.

What does the antibacterial gusset actually do?

The gusset is a dual-layer antibacterial construction. Hormonal changes in pregnancy can make the body more sensitive and prone to irritation, and a standard single-layer gusset does less to manage moisture and freshness through a full day of wear. The
dual layer adds a buffer that helps with both. It is not a medical claim, just a more considered construction than most.
