You're in the early weeks postpartum and your body is still figuring itself out. Some days the most important thing a pair of trousers can do is ask nothing of you. The Pausa Postpartum Yoga Pants are a full-length wide-leg trouser in a skin-kind nylon fabric with a drawstring waist, made for exactly that stage.

The drawstring waistband does what no fixed elastic can. You set it where you need it that day, loose and away from the lower abdomen when everything is still tender, or cinched gently at the waist when you want to feel pulled together. Nothing grips, nothing presses, nothing reminds you that your body is healing. The wide leg falls cleanly from the hip with deep side pockets that actually hold a phone, and the fabric is soft and breathable enough that you stop noticing it within minutes of putting it on.

The Pausa Trousers are relaxed and wide through the leg from the hip down. They are not fitted anywhere below the waistband. The fabric drapes rather than clings and the wide leg moves with you without restriction.

The drawstring waist adjusts to wherever you need it that day. You can wear it loose across the hip or cinched at the natural waist for a more pulled-together look. The elastic behind the drawstring means the waistband holds its shape without you having to tie it tight. It will not dig, roll, or press.

Choose your usual size. The trousers are cut generously through the hip and leg so if you are between sizes your usual will work fine. Full-length leg, floor-grazing at average height.

The Pausa Trousers are made in a skin-kind nylon spandex: 80% nylon, 20% spandex, at 225g. Soft, breathable, resistant to pilling, and drapes well without clinging. The spandex content gives it enough stretch to move freely without the trouser losing its shape through wear.

Care: Do not bleach. Machine wash at 30°C or below, turned inside out. Hang to dry. Do not tumble dry. Low temperature iron if needed.

Are these suitable for postpartum?
Yes. The Pausa Trousers are designed for the postpartum stage.

I had a c-section. Are these safe to wear in early recovery?
These are the most c-section-friendly piece in the Alma Nueva postpartum collection. The drawstring waistband has no fixed elastic and sits at the natural waist, well above the scar line. Worn loose it does not press anywhere on the lower abdomen. There is nothing compressive about this trouser anywhere.

Can I adjust the waistband day to day?
Yes, that is exactly what it is for. The drawstring lets you set the waist wherever feels right. Some days loose, some days a little snugger. The elastic behind the cord holds its shape either way without digging in.

Do they have pockets?
Yes. Deep diagonal side pockets on both sides that fit a phone comfortably.

Is there any compression through the midsection?
None. This is a completely relaxed trouser with no compression anywhere. If you are looking for light abdominal support at a later stage, the Pulso or Retorno Postpartum Leggings have more structure.
