In the early days, when your body is still settling and you want to be gentle with it, you reach for the pair that asks nothing of you. The Pausa Postpartum Drawstring Trousers are made for exactly that. A soft, high drawstring waist ties to sit wherever feels right, loosening or tightening as your body changes through the day, with no compression anywhere. The lightweight, nude-feel fabric barely registers against your skin, and deep side pockets keep your hands free for everything else.

This is a loose, wide-leg cut with a high, stretchy drawstring waist, so the fit is forgiving; the drawstring ties to sit wherever is comfortable and adjusts as your body changes from day to day. Choose your usual size. If you're between sizes, the drawstring gives you room either way, though sizing up gives a more relaxed drape through the hip and thigh.

This is a long, full-length trouser. If you're petite it will sit longer and may gather softly at the ankle, which suits the relaxed look. The lightweight fabric has real four-way stretch and springs back, so it moves with you and holds its shape. Check the Size Chart for measurements before you order.

A lightweight, nude-feel fabric that sits soft and second-skin against you, breathable and quick to move with you, with four-way stretch that recovers its shape rather than bagging out. It's the lightest fabric in the collection, made to be barely noticeable on a day you just want to rest.

Composition: 80% polyamide, 20% elastane.
Care: Hand wash cool (max 30°C) with like colours. Do not soak. Do not bleach. Reshape and line dry away from direct heat. Do not tumble dry. Cool iron only if needed.

How does the drawstring waist fit?
High and soft, at your natural waist. It's a stretchy elasticated band with a drawstring tie, so you set it wherever feels comfortable and it stays there without rolling down. There's no rigid waistband and no compression, you simply loosen or tighten the tie as you need.

Are these comfortable after having a baby?
Yes, that's what they're made for. The drawstring adjusts to a body that's still changing, with nothing pressing on your middle, and the fabric is the lightest and softest in the range. You tie them where it feels good and rest.

Is the fabric warm or heavy?
Neither, it's deliberately light. At 225g it's the lightest fabric we carry, breathable and airy against the skin, so it suits resting, lounging and gentle movement rather than keeping you warm.

Will they pill or bag out?
The fabric is made to resist pilling and the elastane recovery holds the shape rather than sagging at the knee or seat. Hand washing cool and line drying keeps the nude-feel surface soft for longer.
