The Calma Postpartum Straight-Leg Trousers don't. A soft, high foldover waistband sits gently over your middle and covers it fully, with no compression and nothing pressing in. Below it, a brushed, substantial fabric falls into a clean, straight leg you can pull on in the morning and forget about until the evening.

This is a relaxed, straight-leg cut, so it doesn't sit close through the leg; choose your usual size. The waistband is a soft, wide foldover band that sits high and stays at one height, so there's nothing to fasten or adjust. If you're between sizes, or you'd like a little more room through the hip and thigh, size up. This is a long, full-length trouser. If you're petite it will sit longer and may gather softly at the ankle, which is part of the relaxed look.

A brushed, matte-finish fabric with a soft, substantial hand that feels cushioned against the skin without any heat or stiffness. It has four-way stretch that moves as you do and recovers its shape, so the seat and knees don't bag out over a day of wear, and the front sits flat and clean with nothing to keep adjusting.

Composition: 78% polyamide, 22% elastane.
Care: Machine wash cool on a gentle cycle with like colours. Do not bleach. Reshape and dry flat or line dry away from direct heat. Do not tumble dry. Cool iron only if needed.

Where does the waistband sit?
High, over your middle. It's a soft, wide foldover band built to sit at one height and cover the tummy fully, so nothing shows and nothing needs pulling up through the day. It isn't compressive, it simply sits gently against you.

Will the waistband dig in or feel tight?
No. There's no rigid elastic and no fastening, so nothing bites into your middle. The band is soft and wide, which spreads any pressure out and keeps it comfortable even after a long day or a big meal.

Are these comfortable after having a baby?
